Jim’s coaching transformed my running. I’m proud of the PRs I’ve run in multiple distances; I’ve taken 46 minutes of my first marathon time. But, even more powerfully, I run with more confidence now. I set more ambitious goals. I understand the purpose of a workout in the scheme of my training. Jim explains the rationale, which allows me to make the most informed adjustments if a run isn’t clicking. Jim balances my current goals with long term development. While preparing me for the next race, he’s also writing segments with future improvement and longevity in the sport in mind.
Jim can help you train for any distance, but I was most impressed with his marathon buildup. His training segments are really different than others I’ve done. The training is challenging, but obviously so is the marathon. The segments he writes prepared me to race the distance. I was surprised when I saw some of the workouts, but they made me strong at the end of the marathon-both physically and mentally.
Jim’s knowledge of the sport is amazing. He’s professional and answers questions immediately. He helps you adjust for life. I can’t recommend working with him enough.
